A SEASONAL essential is no longer on shelves at Aldi, upsetting fans.
The discount grocery giant confirmed it no longer sells buttermilk.

The dairy product, which is a liquid produced when butter is churned out of cream, has many different culinary uses, especially in the fall.
It is a popular ingredient in baked goods like pancakes, as well as a tenderizer for meat.
It is especially popular in the Fall and holiday season as interest in baked goods spikes.
Yet, Aldi confirmed it no longer carries buttermilk, not even in the fall.

"It's something we sold in the past as a seasonal item, but it was discontinued," Aldi confirmed to a concerned fan on X, formerly Twitter recently.
Aldi did leave the door open to a potential return at some point.
"We can let our buying teams know that you'd really like to see it come back!"
